On the morning of July 7th, the School of Physics successfully hosted the midway progress meeting for the National Key Research and Development Program's "Quantum Control and Quantum Information" key special project, specifically focusing on "Research on Quantum Enhanced Magnetometers Based on Spin Systems." The event took place in Hefei.
This project, led by Shanxi University, is a collaborative effort involving Shanghai University, Hefei University of Technology, and ShanghaiTech University. The meeting was graced by the presence of esteemed experts and leaders, including Professor Liu Jin from Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Xu Jinshi from the University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Xue Fei from Hefei University of Technology, Professor Zhou Jianhui from the High Magnetic Field Science Center of Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Hu Zhijia from Anhui University, Professor Shen Heng, the project's principal investigator from Shanxi University, Professor Gao Weiqing, the Executive Deputy Dean of the School of Physics at Hefei University of Technology, and Professor Li Zhongjun, the Associate Dean of the School of Physics at Hefei University of Technology. Sub-project leaders, including Professor Guo Hairun from Shanghai University, Professor Chen Bing from Hefei University of Technology, Professor Zhang Shilei from ShanghaiTech University, Associate Professor Xu Zhongxiao from Shanxi University, and Fan Yuhang from the Science and Technology Department of Shanxi University, were in attendance. Representatives from related disciplines also joined the meeting.
Professor Gao Weiqing, representing the School of Physics, extended a warm welcome to the experts and provided an introduction to the School of Physics, covering its historical development, unique characteristics, research initiatives, and talent acquisition efforts. He expressed his hope for continued strong support from the experts towards the School of Physics at Hefei University of Technology. Professor Li Zhongjun chaired the entire agenda of the midway progress meeting for this project.
